Other things to see and do in Royston on Sunday 7th July.
There will be a unique opportunity to see the 24-metre long Royston Tapestry, depicting 15 significant points in the town’s history in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry. Over 30 local embroiderers have helped produce the Tapestry which has been 30 years in the making. It will be unveiled in its final form for the first time on Saturday 6th and on display in the Town Hall over the Pageant weekend. Click to enlarge the poster on the left for more details.
In the evening you can enjoy a concert staged by Creative Royston featuring a bunch of brilliant and very experienced musicians ‘Tin Giants’, supported by a highly-regarded young duo, ‘Elizabeth and Jameson’ who have built a big reputation over the last year. Click to enlarge the poster on the right for more details and you can book an advance ticket at the remarkably cheap price of £10 by clicking HERE.
During the day Royston Museum will be open and amongst a host of interesting exhibits you will be able to view Royston Arts Society’s Members Exhibition – see poster on left. It’s all FREE and you can also buy a painting and/or cards if you wish.
As if that is not enough Royston’s mysterious Cave will also be open for visitors.
